I’ve traveled extensively throughout Central America and the Caribbean, and I thought I had seen blue water. But this is brilliant turquoise blue water. The kind of turquoise water you see online and in magazines, and you think it must be photoshopped. It’s breathtaking.

Pools, Pools, and More Pools
In addition to 12-miles of white-sand beach lining Grace Bay, there are 10 freshwater pools and 4 whirlpools at Beaches Turks & Caicos. The multiple swim-up bars serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There is a signature pool in the heart of each village—each with its own vibe. The Italian Village pool is lively with music and the occasional Zumba class, while the French Village pool is quieter in comparison. Depending on what you want, I’m confident there is a lively or relaxing pool for you to enjoy. For research purposes, I’ve tested them all, of course!
Sesame Street Characters Galore
One of the big draws to this Beaches Resorts for families with young children is their exclusive Sesame Street partnership. Each day, the twelve characters roam around the resort, posing for pictures. Kids have countless opportunities to play and explore with the Sesame Street characters. Storytime with Elmo, Tea Time with Abby Cadabby, Puppet Making with Bert & Ernie, Creating Art with Julia, Dance Party with Elmo, Move and Grove with Zoe & Rosita, and Science Experiments with Grover are just a few of the fun activities offered. My favorite activity is baking chocolate chip cookies with Cookie Monster! The whole family will enjoy the nightly Sesame Street Live shows on stage. And each week, the Sesame Street characters lead a colorful Caribbean Parade with lively island tunes.
Kids Camp
When traveling with kids, activities that cater to children are incredibly important. You’ll find NO shortage of age-appropriate activities for kids of ALL ages at Beaches Turks & Caicos. Beaches Resorts is one of the very few places that cares for newborns all the way through teens. Need I say more? OK, just a little more: amazing kids’ camp with age-appropriate activities, all supervised by warm and caring professionals certified by the International Nanny Association.
The nursery, for newborns to 24 months, is filled with cribs, strollers, high chairs, swings, rocking chairs, and Certified Nannies who wait to cradle your little ones in the lap of luxury. The center has many play areas, inside and outdoors, with arts & crafts, music, and more. For toddler and preschool-aged guests, there is even a children’s swimming pool with perfectly sized lounge chairs for little tykes. How cute is this?!

Tweens get their very own hangout spot called Trench Town. It’s a cool arcade lounge filled with foosball, air hockey, and pool tables with music pumping. The Xbox Play Lounge is another popular hangout. Camp staff also engaged the bigger kids in swimming, water sports, beach volleyball, relays, crafts, and nature exploration.
Teen Program
At Beaches Turks & Caicos, teenagers get their own scene all day and a place to hang each night. Down at the Beach Shack, there are dance parties with a juice/soda bar. At night, Club Liquid is a teen-only nightclub. They will also enjoy water sports, boat cruises, karaoke, and more. Your teen might be “too cool” for some things, but this vacation isn’t one of them.

Providenciales Island offers the greatest number of dive sites in Turks & Caicos with over 70 miles of barrier reef regularly dived. The water visibility is fantastic, and the coast is protected by National Parks. Some of the best dive spots in Turk & Caicos include a shipwreck, caverns, sheers walls, swim-throughs, and seeing Humpback whales during their migration season. The coral is vibrant, and the reef fish are plentiful. You can expect to see sea turtles, lobster, yellow goatfish, triggerfish, grunts, horse-eye jacks, angelfish, blue chromis, eagle rays, and more. At some dive sites, you may even spot nurse sharks and barracudas!
